At the Kingborough Tigers, we’re more than just a football team—we’re a proud community with a rich history and a bright future. Founded in 1886, we started as the Kingston Football Club in the Southern Tasmanian Football Association and have grown through various leagues to earn our place in the statewide Tasmanian State Football League (TSL) in 2014.

Our club thrives on and off the field. We’re proud to run vibrant senior and junior football programs that nurture talent, build skills, and foster a lifelong love of the game. Beyond football, our successful netball program brings even more opportunities for community connection and athletic excellence.

We’ve celebrated many milestones over the years, including SFL premiership titles in 1997 and 2011, and our crowning achievement—a TSL premiership win in 2023. Dressed in our iconic black and gold colors since 1946, we’re united by resilience, determination, and pride in representing the Kingborough region.

With our state-of-the-art facilities at the Kingston Twin Ovals and the unwavering support of our players, coaches, volunteers, sponsors and supporters, we’re committed to inspiring the next generation of athletes and making our community proud.
